Who am I? What am I doing here?

Pixel Punk is the online portfolio of Kat Bairwell, freelance web designer/developer, professional geek and Doctor Who nerd.

There are many benefits to working directly with a freelancer for your project, for a start there’s only me to deal with; no art directors, no project managers, no upsellers. If you have a question, or need a quick answer, you come straight through to the girl who knows. I also believe in building real working relationships, even friendships, with my clients so I hope you have a sense of humour!

I recommend the WordPress platform wherever I can. It is quick for clients to learn the backend, meaning they can be up and running, updating their new sites very quickly, even if they have no knowledge of HTML. If you can use a web browser, you can use WordPress, it really is that simple.
